Episode 021: 3 Ways to Land Consistent Dream Clients
Let’s talk about 3 ways you can land consistent dream clients.
I’m all about consistency AND making sure you have the right clients. We need to have both of these.
You can only be successful with these 3 things if you know who your audience is. If you don’t know who your audience is, or you haven’t committed to truly targeting them, you have to go back and do that first. This doesn’t mean you can’t work with other people. It just means you need to prioritize your time and resources to reach a particular group of people.
So, here are the 3 steps that I take in my business to bring in the consistent dream clients:
1. Know where you’re showing up
Where is your audience showing up? Maybe it’s Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or a local networking group. Pick one place to focus on and map out a plan to start engaging with your audience there. Build time into your calendar to show up in some capacity to have conversations with your audience.

Take time to get to know your audience better and build relationships. Add value and offer advice. This is not an opportunity to pitch yourself.
2. Build your own community
This doesn’t necessarily mean a Facebook group. You can build a community many different ways, through your blog, your website, your email list. You need to figure out what makes sense for you.
What happens when you connect with your audience where they spend their time? What if they’re interested in what you have to offer and you have a great connection? How are you going to continue that conversation? You continue the conversation by inviting people to your own community.
Having your own community means you’re not at the mercy of other people to bring your clients. This is your business - you are the boss! One of the ways to be the boss is to create this destination for your audience.
The reason this is such a great way to bring in consistent clients is because you have your own audience of potential clients that you can go to at any point. You can go to a group of people you are continually nurturing and serving and let them know how they can work with you.
3. Identify your VIPs
Your VIPs are people who show up and show interest. You need to track these people regularly.
Too many people don’t identify their VIPs or they identify them but don’t take any action. I have a lead tracker that I use, and share with all of my clients, to track people I’ve connected with or who have shown interest in what I offer, and follow up with them regularly.

These people are interested for a reason and you need to give them an opportunity to take things to the next level. They want that opportunity or they wouldn’t be showing up in the first place.
If you have any fear or hesitation around taking action on these 3 things, try to identify where that is coming from. That will tell you a lot about some things that are holding you back that you can start to overcome.
You can move forward and grow your business despite the fear! You don’t have to let fear hold you back or keep you on the sidelines.
